It was just a couple of months ago that I took photos of baby Drake while he was still in his mama’s belly (Sommer’s Maternity Photos). Okay, that sounds wrong, but you know what I mean. Now he’s here! Tatum is a wonderful older sister and was a gem for the camera (during the maternity photos she was quite camera shy….exactly the opposite this time!)

Jeff & Sommer – congrats on your new addition! What a perfect little family!

This one made me laugh out loud when I saw it. Bored, much? haha. I can assure you that this photo session was far from boring which is why I think this one is so cute :)

I photographed this great family back when I was just starting out. The boys did such a great job this time and even the little one would smile for me if I asked really nicely :) These were taken around 7pm at the Jensen Botanical Garden in Carmichael. Lots of fun natural light for photography!

Sommer and Jeff are getting ready to welcome their second child, a sweet baby boy, this summer. Tatum is their 4 year old daughter whom you may notice is MIA for most of the photos. Poor Sommer…she had a dress all picked out for Tatum but when it came time to get ready Tatum just wouldn’t have it. If any of you have a 4 year old, you know that there are some battles that you just have to let go. I thought it was a cute story but I know how important it was to Jeff and Sommer to have her in the photos. We got a few, but we are going to hopefully go out again on a day when Tatum feels like playing dress up and instead of being my assistant, being my model! I do however want to thank little T for helping me capture a photo that I’ve been meaning to try for a while- the blowing of the dandelion! She may not be in her fancy dress, but she sure did become part of a beautiful photo!

Jeff & Sommer – congratulations on your baby boy. Boys rock! ;)

Earlier this year I did these newborn photos for identical twins, Isla and Giselle. When their mom called me to photograph their baptism, I was both honored and excited. The girls had grown so much and were full of smiles, even as their bottoms were dunked in the water! The service was exceptionally beautiful and then followed by a fun reception at grandma’s house just down the street. My goal was to capture the day just as it was, very candid and with natural processing. Days like this one make me bust at the seams with love for what I do.
