I photographed this great family back when I was just starting out. The boys did such a great job this time and even the little one would smile for me if I asked really nicely

I LOVE photographing this family! I tell Teegan all the time that she is my favorite little model We had a lot of fun at this session and Teegan, in typical model fashion, got to have a few different wardrobe choices. We even did a little tea-party (T-Party!) since that is what Teegan’s parents call her from time to time.
On Friday I got together with a few photographer friends of mine – Kris Lane, Brandy Hawkins and Bree Franklin
I shot my very first “client” session at Negro Bar in Folsom a long time ago. I’ve learned a lot since then and was anxious to go back with 3 other talented ladies to chat about photography and get some shots in. Kris brought her son and Bree brought her daughter. Both were willing models, although one was more on the move than the other. I bet you can guess who it was 
Photography is an interesting business. There are a few bad seeds out there (as with all industries), but for the most part it’s a community filled with wonderful, caring, and artistic people who love to share their craft, help eachother out and encourage their fellow photographer along the way. I feel so lucky to know so many of the “good seeds”! The 4 of us plus another friend, Charletton Churchill, will be attending the PPA Tour in Sacramento this Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency. Exciting stuff!
My very first maternity session was with my sister (see post below) last Saturday. On Wednesday, I did my second maternity session. I LOVE MATERNITY. I will shout it from the roof tops! Anyone who knows me knows that I have a major passion for weddings. Well, I have the same for maternity. I feel so blessed to be able to photograph such a special time in a woman’s life and I truly hope that these gorgeous woman can recognize just how stunning they are.
Karrie, her hubby and their 3 year old daughter drove all the way up from the Stockton/Modesto area to have a shoot with me. I was telling my husband that I get a bit nervous when people drive an hour and a half just for my photos. I joked with Karrie and told her the same thing…her response, “Well, I’m obviously getting something out of it!” hehe. We spent a little over an hour at the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in Granite Bay. Everything was green which won’t last long around Folsom Lake! Karrie is pregnant with their second baby girl, due in April (doesn’t she look fab?!)
