Edward & Laura's Engagement Session on the Queen Mary

When Laura first emailed me, I knew that I was dealing with a classy, timeless, unique couple. She and Edward are both professional performers and dancers. They make a point to go out at least once a month dressed to the nines - Laura in a beautiful dress and Edward in a suit or tux. Their wedding, planned for March, will take place onstage and I don't doubt that it will be an affair to remember. I am so excited! I want to disclose that this is NOT a stylized session - they really are this beautiful and classy :) They even brought their OWN vintage luggage. We got permission to shoot onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach and I'm positive that it was the perfect choice for Laura and Edward's engagement session. It was like a throwback to a different era.

Jennifer & Rick's Disneyland Engagement Session!

When Jennifer suggested that they might want to do their engagement session in Disneyland, I pushed them heavily towards that idea. Rick works at Disneyland and it's where he proposed to Jennifer. What a special, fun place for your engagement photos! Jen and Rick are a lovely couple and even suggested that I bring my husband and son along so that we could enjoy the park together after the session. We got there bright and early and were shooting their session before a lot of people are out of bed :) We had fun finding locations that looked very "Disneyland" and also finding locations that were a bit more traditional. Thank you Jen and Rick for an awesome day. I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year.

Lisa & Neil's Saratoga, CA Engagement Session | Savannah Chanelle Vineyards

I will be photographing Lisa and Neil's wedding next year in Los Altos - we have actually never met before, so their engagement session was the first time that we got to talk in person. I dare say that we hit it off right away. Lisa and Neil are both UC Davis alums. Lisa is a teacher and Neil is now a PhD student at UCSF, graduating next year shortly before the wedding. They chose the Savannah Chanelle Vineyards in Saratoga for their engagement session. I'm not very familiar with the San Jose area or the Santa Cruz mountains, so I was a little worried as I was driving in on a dark, narrow, windy road, but then as you're pulling up to the vineyards, you climb up onto a hill and the sun breaks through all of the dense forest. Savannah Chanelle sits on an overlook with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. The folks there were kind enough to grant us access to their grounds and even made sure that I knew their wi-fi password :)

Thanks again Lisa and Neil! I can't wait until it's time to photograph your wedding!
