Darlene & Brian's Wedding! {Reno, NV Wedding Photographer}

Darlene and Brian got married on December 18th in Reno, Nevada at the Rancho San Rafael Ranch House. I have never driven through snow...ever...so I made Will come with me and drive since a big storm was moving through Northern California. Luckily for us, the snow levels were super high and we only had to chain up for about 20 miles. It was actually raining once we got into Reno, but we had just enough snow on the ground to give Darlene the "winter wonderland" look that she was hoping for! Since I had to travel from Riverside to Reno for this wedding, I was unable to meet with Darlene in person before her big day. I was so pleasantly surprised at how low key and personable both she and Brian were. I felt right at home and my time with them flew by. Nearly every image from the ceremony includes someone laughing and my favorite part was when Darlene stated, "...for as loooooong as we both shall live" - you know, emphasizing her commitment to a truly LONG marriage!

Thank you Darlene and Brian for allowing me to photograph your gorgeous wedding!

Pamela & David - An Autumn Wedding in Winters, CA!

Sometimes you meet people that you feel instantly comfortable around. Pamela and Dave were those people. When they chose me to photograph their intimate wedding in Winters, I knew we would be a wonderful fit. They said their vows under a large gazebo with the beautiful evening light shining through the beams. Photographers love nothing more than beautiful light so I was giddy with excitement by the time that Pamela walked down the aisle with her dad on her side. After the ceremony, we walked along the streets of the small town and casually took photos. Pamela was wonderful at communicating with me her wants and desires for her wedding photos which made my job simple and enjoyable. Around 6:15 we entered the beautiful banquet room of the Buckhorn Steakhouse. The room was beautiful, welcoming and I loved being able to photograph with the available light, giving the photographs an authentic feel. I also want to thank Pam & Dave for a small gesture that while yes, was small, but spoke greatly of their character - Pam emailed me and asked what I would like for dinner. I declined, knowing that I would have time to grab a bite before I started, but joked that I would take an iced tea. As I was milling around taking photos, a member of the wait staff handed me a perfect plate with sugars, a spoon, and a glass of iced tea. Just for me. Congratulations Pamela & David. And thank you...for the tea and for everything!

Stella & Joseph {10/10/10} A Wedding!

Stella and Joseph got married on a very special date. However, more special than that was watching these two wonderful people vow to spend the rest of their lives together. The wedding day started in the early morning hours as Stella got ready at her home in Rancho Cordova. Before the actual wedding, Stella and and Joe participated in a traditional tea ceremony. Stella wore a gorgeous chiong sam dress as the new couple served tea to close family members. Then, it was off to the Timber Creek Golf Course and Club of Sun City in Roseville where the rest of the wedding would unfold. Fast forward to the reception and we got to hear nearly each and every one of their friends start off their toasts with, "So...I met Stella/Joseph at Target..." which is where the bride and groom also met. By the 5th or 6th person everyone was waiting in anticipation to see if the next person had also met either the bride or groom at Target! Thank you Stella & Joe for being so awesome! I feel very honored to have been your wedding photographer!
