Now Booking Portraits for Fall!

Last year was the first time in my career where my schedule completely filled up. Talk about a great homecoming! I started my business in Sacramento, then shortly thereafter moved 8 hours away to Riverside, and 2 years later to Seattle. Now that I'm back in the San Francisco Bay Area I feel like things have come circle and have finally fallen into place. I've been so lucky to photograph amazing weddings, wonderful family sessions, beautiful maternity, and fun engagements.

Here is where I currently have openings:

June 2016
July 2016
(August full)
September 2016
(October full)
November 2016
(December full)

If you'd like to book a portrait session (family, maternity, engagement) please contact me ASAP and I would be happy to reserve a date for you!

Tyler and Elyzza | Senior Portraits in Folsom

Okay, how cool is this... I met CJ when we were just 9 year old and kiddos at the same daycare (Country Acres in Carmichael, whoot!) Although we went to different elementary, middle and high schools we have stayed in touch over the years, first through AIM, then Myspace, then Facebook. I hadn't actually seen her in person in 11 years since we were freshman in high school. CJ has always been a sweet, wonderful friend...quite the amazing friend considering our mostly cyberspace relationship. When I got an email from CJ's mom asking me to do her youngest son's senior portraits I was really touched. Apparently CJ, in her typical sweet and generous fashion, shared my photography with her family. I remember her younger brother, Tyler, as an adorable toddler, just 2 or 3 years old! When I saw him in person, well, it made me feel old! :D  Tyler's girlfriend of 2.5 years, Elyzza, also needed her senior portraits done so it really was a two- no, THREE in one session! Tyler's mom requested that his older sister, CJ, be in some of the photos. I don't question why. Tyler and CJ are very close and as a new mom it really made my heart sing to watch their relationships now that they are both adults(ish!) THANK YOU - Thank you to CJ for sharing my work, thank you to Edy for hiring me for your children's photos, thank you to Tyler and Elyzza for being really awesome and gorgeous in front of the camera, and than you to technology for keeping us all in touch!

Trojans High School Mountian Bike Team

I used to be an outdoorsy kinda girl. In a way, I still am, I just don't actually GO OUT that often. My Eagle Scout husband has never taken us fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, or bike riding (I feel duped, Boy Scouts of America!) On Sunday morning I had the opportunity to get outside and remember why I love the outdoors. William, if you're reading this, you really need to take us camping or something. I was asked to photograph the Trojans High School Mountian Bike Team by one of the coaches, Mark Ferry. Mark Ferry is a Realtor by day ('cause I run in those circles, remember?) and was referred to me by Brian Kellogg, pretty much the most awesome architectural/real estate photographers I know. He doesn't do people, I don't do houses...it works. It took weeks and weeks of planning to nail down a date and time for this shoot. It involved a lot of people and a semi decent day. Alas, Sunday was it. We spent nearly 3 hours under the beautiful sun at Folsom Lake. We did a group shot by the water, headshots of every member of the team, and then a lot of candid action shots. By the end of our shoot, it seriously ran through my head that I should pick up a mountain bike and ask to join them. Ah, but who am I kidding, I won't actually do that ;)

I am also including a few "behind the scenes" photos. Also at the shoot was Clayton Winter of Rising Sun Productions Videography. While I was taking care of the stills, he was capturing the day in motion. I am sooo excited to see his final product. His technique and willingness to let mud splatter on his $$$$$ cameras was dang impressive. You will also notice a pretty photo of a leaf. This "leaf" was poison oak that I noticed, oh, about 4" from my face while I was getting some action shots. I escaped un-harmed.
