Laura and Alex are the sweetest, most down to earth couple. We met on a beautiful sunny evening in Half Moon Bay for their engagement shoot. Their wedding took place at the always stunning Nestldown and I can't wait to share their wedding photos with you soon!
Better late than never! I am SO happy to share this wedding here on my blog! Correction: wedding WEEKEND :) The Friday before the wedding I had the pleasure of documenting their rehearsal dinner, but it was no ordinary dinner. Their family and close friends got to go inside the San Francisco Cooking School and prepare their own meal which was such a unique, cool experience for them and for me. The follow day was the wedding with Zac and his guys getting pampered at the barbershop while Jessica and her girls got ready at their home. Their ceremony took place on stage at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House, again, a unique and memorable experience for everyone involved. Afterwards they all watched a full dress rehearsal of the opera and then gathered for cocktails and comfort food.
Fun fact: Jessica's gown was custom designed and made just for her and the most amazing lovely light blue that you could almost mistake for ivory. I secretly wish I owned a gown half as beautiful, even if I only ever wore it twirling around my living room ;)
I am so excited to have a photo featured in this piece by The Huffington Post! Immediately after Lydia and Cade's emotional ceremony (emotional for a handful of reasons, including her little brother fainting at the alter...quite the scare!) the couple went off to a private room for a few minutes alone. Everyone was ushered away by the coordinator, including me, but I saw something beautiful and knew I had to quickly and quietly capture it for them. Using a long lens I got this photo and it's one of my absolute favorites. This photo was not posed in any way, it's just the way they were in their private moment. There is nothing that I love more as a wedding photographer.
