Mindy and Tommy met while they were both attending University of the Pacific. Mindy is the bubbly cheerleader and Tommy was the frat boy baseball player (sorry Tommy, but I earned the right to call you that when you requested a photo in front of your frat house! :D ). These days, Mindy is a teacher and Tommy is a lawyer and they live happily in beautiful San Diego, which is also the location of their wedding that I have the honor of photographing in July. The campus of UOP was basically photographer's gold. Beautiful architecture, sprawling green lawns, mature trees, and turn of the century brick buildings. It really is quite different than what I normally see in the Sacramento area and for a couple of hours I felt like we had been transported back east.
I wanted to give a shout-out of my good friend Lauren for mentioning me when Mindy was on the hunt for her wedding photographer. Not only has she given me the opportunity to befriend an awesome, fun couple, but now I also get to visit San Diego for the first time! I'm totally excited!
