Kennen & Jessica's Firehouse Wedding | Sacramento Wedding Photographer

You may remember this gorgeous couple from their engagement photos that I did in Santa Monica earlier this year. I have been looking forward to their intimate wedding for months. With just their closest family and friends surrounding them, Jessica and Kennen got married at the beautiful old Firehouse Restaurant in Old Town Sacramento. Jess and Kennen are such a classy, effortless couple and they each looked especially impressive on their big day. I've known Jessica since we were 9 years old and it was so awesome to see her as a bride.

Immediately after the wedding they got into a towncar and head off to the airport bound for Italy! I mean really, can it get any better than that?

Congrats again you guys! I had a wonderful time at your wedding and now you are officially old married folks just like me :)

...and an extra special thanks to my awesome 2nd shooter, Anita! She took this last shot knowing that the couple was going to Italy for their honeymoon. I said, "Are you sure that's not in Spain??" and she said she was pretty sure that it was Italy, but we Googled it on our phones just to be sure. Can you tell that I've never traveled abroad? haha.

Jeff & Cherill's Serrano Country Club Wedding | El Dorado Hills Wedding Photographer

Jeff and Cherill are a sweet, kind couple. At their wedding consultation, they grilled me a bit harder than most people (which I welcome and encourage, by the way) so when they decided on the spot to hire me, I was extremely flattered. We did their engagement photos in Monterey and Carmel and they even treated me to Starbucks after we were done, which if you know me, you know that's one way to my heart (Starbucks, that is)! Photography was very important to them so I knew I needed to really deliver. Well, on their wedding day, boy, did they make it easy! A wedding day can be a stressful event, especially for the bride, but both Cherill and Jeff were calm as cucumbers and laughing all day long. When a couple is relaxed and truly having a good time at their wedding (and really, isn't that what every couple wants?) the wedding photography jumps to a new level simply because the photographer can take photos that show a gamut of emotions. Giant smiles and tears are my personal favorite ;)

Thank you, Jeff & Cherill! I had a wonderful time at your wedding and I consider you both friends.

Daaaaang, Jeff! You're a natural :)

Cherill, you are so beautiful!

I. Love. You. Muah! :)

During some of the formals, I asked Jeff and Cherill to kiss for a photo. Well, since their whole family was still milling around and watching, they did the fastest peck ever, so I joked that I needed more of a "real" kiss. Cherill, who has a great sense of humor, gave Jeff and unexpected, HUGE smooch. I love it!

...not to be outdone, Jeff's best man had to get in on the action.

They had quite the paparazzi during the speeches!

My 3rd photographer for the evening. What can I say, I start 'em young! haha

Michelle & Jermaine | Sacramento Wedding Photographer

Michelle and Jermaine got married at the Croatian American Cultural Center in Sacramento on a rainy Saturday in June. Yes, you heard me right...rain? June? Sacramento? It was a bummer, but their wedding was still beautiful! The rain gave us a few breaks to get outside, but not many! Michelle looked like a princess and I absolutely loved Jermaine's sense of humor, which you can obviously see in these photos :) I wanted to give a special shout out to their family and friends - each and every one of them that I met were true class-acts. I had met Michelle's parents during our wedding consultation and they instantly made me feel comfortable amongst their family. Thank you to everyone for being so awesome, and congrats again Michelle & Jermaine!

I don't know if you can really tell from these photos, but during the song, the guys held eachother and swayed. haha. Awesome.
