The Peake Family | San Francisco, CA

I love photographing other photographers and my session with Alison and her family was no different. They wanted a session in San Francisco to commemorate their years in the city before moving back to their home country of Australia. We found a small, beautiful beach that gave us views of the Golden Gate Bridge and also space for her two boys to run and play. By the end of the session we were all wet but thankful for the opportunity to call this beautiful place home...if even only for a few years :)

...and new baby makes 4! | San Francisco Maternity & Family Photographer

Yet another day in paradise, otherwise known as a warm, sunny afternoon in San Francisco! This great family is due to welcome their 2nd baby boy any time now. When they mentioned that they wanted photos done, I couldn't help but jump at the opportunity since I was already planning on making it up north to Sacramento to visit my family for 5 days. I had the privilege of doing their son's 1st birthday photos last October, so things really came full circle!

Now that they have photographs crossed off the list, next up is choosing the little guy's name ;)

Also, please make note of the awesome abstract photo courtesy of the sweet 2 year old boy that you see here! 2 year olds have quite the obsession with pressing buttons so I love holding my camera and letting them snap away. They look so satisfied with themselves when they hear that great shutter sound that DSLR's offer. I was so impressed with his work that I just had to include it on the blog! Future photographer, perhaps??

Layflat Coffee Table Books = Christmas morning

I am such a nerd. I know exactly what time the Fed/Ex guy comes, I track my deliveries like a hawk, and I start opening boxes before I even put my purse or keys down. I get THAT excited for print and album orders. Today was no exception. A few people have asked for photos of the layflat books that I include in two of my three wedding packages. They are an excellent value and a more modern take on a traditional wedding album. The paper is extremely thick and high quality, the corners are slightly rounded and it's bound in a fashion that allows the pages to turn neatly and to lay flat (eliminating the actual bending of pages that occur in regular books)

This particular layflat book is 10"x10", 12 pages (24 sides) with a black leather cover.
