...and new baby makes 4! | San Francisco Maternity & Family Photographer

Yet another day in paradise, otherwise known as a warm, sunny afternoon in San Francisco! This great family is due to welcome their 2nd baby boy any time now. When they mentioned that they wanted photos done, I couldn't help but jump at the opportunity since I was already planning on making it up north to Sacramento to visit my family for 5 days. I had the privilege of doing their son's 1st birthday photos last October, so things really came full circle!

Now that they have photographs crossed off the list, next up is choosing the little guy's name ;)

Also, please make note of the awesome abstract photo courtesy of the sweet 2 year old boy that you see here! 2 year olds have quite the obsession with pressing buttons so I love holding my camera and letting them snap away. They look so satisfied with themselves when they hear that great shutter sound that DSLR's offer. I was so impressed with his work that I just had to include it on the blog! Future photographer, perhaps??

Tatum & Drake | Sacramento & Inland Empire Children's Photographer

It was just a couple of months ago that I took photos of baby Drake while he was still in his mama's belly (Sommer's Maternity Photos). Okay, that sounds wrong, but you know what I mean. Now he's here! Tatum is a wonderful older sister and was a gem for the camera (during the maternity photos she was quite camera shy....exactly the opposite this time!) Jeff & Sommer - congrats on your new addition! What a perfect little family!

This one made me laugh out loud when I saw it. Bored, much? haha. I can assure you that this photo session was far from boring which is why I think this one is so cute :)

3 Minutes in the Park with Cambria

I have been in Riverside for nearly 3 weeks now, and while still very busy, not actually shooting much. I've been behind the computer editing wedding photos, a couple of portrait sessions and designing albums. We really only know one family down here and bless their hearts, they've been doing a great job of entertaining us! So, when my photography itch got especially bad, I emailed my friend and asked to do a few photos of her 2 year old daughter, Cambria. We went to Irvine Park in Orange and Amy insisted that I bring my son (who, while adorable, is a hindrance to my photo taking. haha) I felt bad keeping Reid away from a zoo and park, so I brought him with me. It was a hot day, the kids were hungry and only interested in playing on the jungle gym. I managed to pull Cambria aside for a few moments and snagged these shots. I'm not kidding, I had her for maybe 3 minutes before it was back to the playground and we called it a day. I was pleasantly surprised with what I came up with in such a short time, and of course, major kudos to Cambria for being a willing subject! Talk about a successful "mini session"!
