Jeff & Cherill's Serrano Country Club Wedding | El Dorado Hills Wedding Photographer

Jeff and Cherill are a sweet, kind couple. At their wedding consultation, they grilled me a bit harder than most people (which I welcome and encourage, by the way) so when they decided on the spot to hire me, I was extremely flattered. We did their engagement photos in Monterey and Carmel and they even treated me to Starbucks after we were done, which if you know me, you know that's one way to my heart (Starbucks, that is)! Photography was very important to them so I knew I needed to really deliver. Well, on their wedding day, boy, did they make it easy! A wedding day can be a stressful event, especially for the bride, but both Cherill and Jeff were calm as cucumbers and laughing all day long. When a couple is relaxed and truly having a good time at their wedding (and really, isn't that what every couple wants?) the wedding photography jumps to a new level simply because the photographer can take photos that show a gamut of emotions. Giant smiles and tears are my personal favorite ;)

Thank you, Jeff & Cherill! I had a wonderful time at your wedding and I consider you both friends.

Daaaaang, Jeff! You're a natural :)

Cherill, you are so beautiful!

I. Love. You. Muah! :)

During some of the formals, I asked Jeff and Cherill to kiss for a photo. Well, since their whole family was still milling around and watching, they did the fastest peck ever, so I joked that I needed more of a "real" kiss. Cherill, who has a great sense of humor, gave Jeff and unexpected, HUGE smooch. I love it!

...not to be outdone, Jeff's best man had to get in on the action.

They had quite the paparazzi during the speeches!

My 3rd photographer for the evening. What can I say, I start 'em young! haha

Janae & Rick's Temecula Wedding | Southern California Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting Janae and Rick's wedding with my friend Erin Alfaro at the Temeku Hills Golf Club. My job was to hang out with the guys and photograph their, er, shenanigans while Erin shot the girls getting ready. Rick and his guys were hilarious and had me laughing all afternoon. Also, they were great listeners. Sounds weird, right? Well, imagine 11 guys on their friends wedding day - the atmosphere is fun and a bit crazy, but Rick and his guys also took their job seriously. They obediently followed me when it was time for some posed photos and made my part of the day nice and easy. Thanks guys! Congratulations Janae and Rick. Your wedding was beautiful! Also, thank you Erin for letting me hang out with you and be a part of this great day.

Jennifer & Jonny's Wedding! | Sacramento Wedding Photographer

Jennifer and Jonny got married on a warm Saturday afternoon at The Beda Place in Meadow Vista, literally right across the street from a house that I lived in when I was 7 years old. I love the foothills - the smell of the clean, mountain air combined with the warm heat of July in Northern California. You can't help but think, "Ah, life is GOOD!" Congrats Jennifer and Jonny! You have a beautiful family!

The DJ announced that we were going to take a big group photo. Ooookay. Yay for 8' ladders (that I carried in by myself, thankyouverymuch!) haha. Totally worth it! What a fun shot.

What's a little vandalism amung friends? haha. Great job, guys! Congrats, Jennifer & Jonny!

A big thanks to my awesome 2nd shooter, Anita!
